Outside Technician / Consultant
Role Overview:
The Outside Technician / Consultant supports end users and customer environments by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues both onsite and remotely. This role works collaboratively with customers, engineers, and internal teams to ensure optimal system performance. The position requires experience handling moderate to complex technical challenges across Small, Midsize, and Large Business environments, along with flexibility to travel and support varying schedules.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Customer Support & Troubleshooting:
• Work assigned tickets to resolution within SLA standards.
• Support customer infrastructure, network connectivity, email systems, and WAN environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve onsite and remote technical issues.
Telephony & Systems Support:
• Assist in configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting VOIP telephone systems.
• Support internal systems, corporate applications, and infrastructure platforms.
Deployments & Upgrades:
• Create network and email accounts for new employees and customers.
• Support onsite setups, system upgrades, and technology refresh projects.
• Assist with documentation updates following installations and changes.
Inventory & Asset Support:
• Help manage hardware inventory, software licenses, and technical supplies.
• Promote proper use, care, and tracking of company and customer equipment.
Vendor & Sales Collaboration:
• Assist with vendor communications related to equipment and services.
• Support sales activities by providing technical input and onsite assessments.
Professional Communication & Flexibility:
• Maintain clear and professional communication with customers.
• Support after-hours work and travel requirements as needed.
